Sendhil Ramamurthy is scrubbing in to Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 19, the “Heroes” and “Never Have I Ever” alum will appear in a recurring role on freshman medical drama GOOD SAM as psychotherapist Asher Pyne, hospital administrator Vivian’s (Wendy Crewson) serene and centered new spouse.
Dr. Pyne will help Vivian navigate the strained personal and professional relationship between her daughter, Dr. Sam Griffith (Sophia Bush), and ex-husband, Dr. Rob “Griff” Griffith (Jason Isaacs). Ramamurthy’s first appearance comes in the series’ third episode, which is directed by Gina Rodriguez. The episode reunites Rodriguez with “Jane the Virgin” executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, who also serves as an executive producer on GOOD SAM.
GOOD SAM airs Wednesdays at 10:00 PM ET/PT on CBS, and is available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
